House M.49
unbuilt
Private residence, Hasselt.
The brief for this new to build construction, was to design and create a Mid-century inspired, yet modern house for two busy professionals who see their home as a refuge to withdraw from hectic professional life and also harbor their art collection. Therefore the design-language and architecture proposed, are discrete and minimalistic in order to create a calm backdrop for the owners and their guests, since they also like to entertain. A profound love for everything South-American, travels there and the modernistic architecture built in the post-war era, have proven to be valuable sources of inspiration.
